Crafting collage master boards is enjoyable and perfect for junk journals, art journals, and various paper craft projects. They can be used for creating ephemera, pockets, tags, postcards, and more. This activity is an excellent way to repurpose leftover paper scraps.
Creating a collage master board involves gluing various pieces of paper, such as book pages, scrapbook remnants, coffee-dyed sheets, and music sheets, onto a sturdy background. For this project, a spiral-bound sketchbook with heavier paper works well. You can also use the 12 x 12 scrapbook papers you dislike.
After you arrange and glue down your paper scraps, you can embellish your creation with stickers, washi tape, postage stamps, ink stamps, or anything else that sparks your creativity.
I took pictures of the original master boards with my phone to make copies. This allows you to reuse the master boards for different projects. Printing copies on sturdy card stock works best for pockets, tags, and postcards.
If you print the master board on Coffee-Dyed or Rice Paper, you can cut out individual elements to embellish your junk journals or make new master boards.
Here are some printed on Rice Paper.
This is my first attempt at making collage master boards. You can download the Junk Journal Master Boards.PDF file for your junk journal projects. Feel free to use the master boards however you like, but donβt sell exact copies.
Have fun crafting!
