About
Hi, I’m Linda, a creative blogger from Upstate New York. I’m passionate about crafting as a way to unwind from daily stress.
Focusing on gorgeous colors, pretty patterned papers, and glistening jewelry eases burdens and fosters wellness.
I love creating jewelry art, upcycling furniture and home decor, and transforming items into personalized treasures.
I also enjoy making nature-themed junk journals for personal and reflective writing, art journals suited for creative expression using mixed media and paper collages, and website design and development.
Creating nature-inspired art brings peace. View my creations in the Craft Gallery.
My Crafting Journey
I enjoy crafting ink under my fingernails instead of dirt. However, my love for creativity started in the Adirondack Mountains during the 1970s.
I remember collecting fallen trees and large ferns to create forts and shelters. The structures protected me from the chaotic storms of my childhood.
Crafting helps relax and manage stress and feelings of nervousness.
As I entered adulthood, my life faced many challenges. The struggles impacted my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
After going through abuse and experiencing significant losses, I carried heavy burdens that caused my creativity to diminish.
One night in the early nineties, I found a spark of hope at a city mission in Oakland, California. When asked, I chose to walk forward and accept Jesus Christ as my Savior.
The next day, everything looked different from our apartment window. I felt a change, and later, I discovered that the Holy Spirit dwells within those who believe in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit becomes your helper and comforter.

It was a new beginning.
I began focusing on my talents and creative interests, which I enjoy exploring, learning, and crafting.
I started caring for the elderly and physically and developmentally disabled individuals over twenty years ago.
I learned how to build websites, started several blogs, and discovered that writing creatively and reflectively improves mental and emotional well-being. You can read my stories and reflections on Abuse Journal.com.
I began to notice nature more and value the beauty of everyday life.
I’ve learned art is not supposed to be perfect, which means anyone can enjoy crafting or journaling to relax. You can start by reading a recent article or exploring a craft topic.
